Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte

Ilocos Sur is nothing new to me, especially Vigan City, since my father is from Ilocos Sur. So this blog is about my husband's first visit at Ilocos. I toured him around Vigan City, which included the burnayan, Heritage Village, Secret Garden, Bantay Church and Gov. Singson's Baluarte, and ate Vigan delicacies such as sinanglaw, Vigan empanada, and Ilocos chichacorn. I even had him road the kalesa.

I also brought him to Ilocos Norte:
  • Batac - where we ate the best empanada and visited Marcos' museum, old house, and the late Ferdinand Marcos as well
  • Paoay Lake and the Malacanang of the North
  • passed by the Ilocos desert
Overall, hubby was satisfied. We'll go to Pagudpud next time. I'll have to keep him at ease during travel since he's not used to long hours of travel.

Potipot Island, Zambales

One of the best islands of Zambales is Potipot Island. It has white sand, calm beach. I call this beach as "mini-Boracay" because the sands are like that of Boracay.  When we checked this spot, cottages were being constructed. However, one can opt to camp. There's a deep well for water but you have to bring drinking water. It took us  5 minutes to travel from Candelaria, Zambales and 15 minutes to tour this island

There were few beach resorts near Potipot Island. (We checked Dawal Beach Resort since this was highly recommended.)

I guess I'll have to include this island when we tour other islands in Zambales.
