Ilocos Sur is nothing new to me, especially Vigan City, since my father is from Ilocos Sur. So this blog is about my husband's first visit at Ilocos. I toured him around Vigan City, which included the burnayan, Heritage Village, Secret Garden, Bantay Church and Gov. Singson's Baluarte, and ate Vigan delicacies such as sinanglaw, Vigan empanada, and Ilocos chichacorn. I even had him road the kalesa.
I also brought him to Ilocos Norte:
- Batac - where we ate the best empanada and visited Marcos' museum, old house, and the late Ferdinand Marcos as well
- Paoay Lake and the Malacanang of the North
- passed by the Ilocos desert
Overall, hubby was satisfied. We'll go to Pagudpud next time. I'll have to keep him at ease during travel since he's not used to long hours of travel.
